Davinia Hernández-Leo, Principal Researcher of Genie Learn project, has given one of the keynotes at the First International Conference on AI, Future Educational Scenarios and Transformations, and Global Harwell (AIEH 2026), hold on 21–24 September 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan.

The title of her keynote has been “Shaping the AI-Enhanced Learning Design Lifecycle for Harwell” which has elaborated the idea: Generative AI in Education has brought to the forefront tensions that are both human (e.g., learning -how/what, wellbeing) and more-than-human (e.g., institutional, ecological, societal) – with implications for Global Harwell. This keynote advocates a resilience-by-design perspective, promoting responsible decision-making that explicitly acknowledges and navigates these tensions across the Learning Design Lifecycle. The talk places collaboration at the core of achieving Global Harwell, with or without AI, and arguing for approaches to AI in Education that strengthen (vs. replace) human relationship and social interaction.
